Panoptic Media has over 25 years of experience, having been founded by Director/DP Jim Prues way back in 1991. Since then we’ve done thousands of projects for hundreds of small and large companies, including Cintas, Fidelity Investments and Western Southern Financial Group.

We have a long history with non-profits and government agencies as well, having produced numerous projects for Hamilton County and the Homeless Coalition, Tender Mercies and the Co-op Cincy.

Project Brief

Cleaning Technology Group subsidiary Ransohoff has a long history of manufacturing cleaning systems for industrial use. These cleaning systems are used to clean parts that have been through various processes that have left them dirty, oily or otherwise unready for use.

When CTG wanted a video to highlight this high-tech, flexible cleaning system, they spoke with Panoptic Media and we made the combined decisions to use 3D animations as the best way forward. The clean, techy look helps imply that this machine is a superior product. We also elected to skip narration, presenting the most salient points via 3D text. With a fun music track it turns out to be a nice marketing piece.

For well over a year now, Panoptic Media president Jim Prues has been working with brother David Prues, CEO of Ambient Studios, to engineer and produce the Jerry Springer Podcast with co-hosts Jene Galvin and Megan Hils. While this started out as a pre-recorded podcast, we now stream the podcast live at JerrySpringer.com and we shoot live video through the facebook live video app.

This 28 second promo was built for facebook audiences. The look and feel of this piece, along with many other aspects of the podcast production, are designed and/or implemented by Panoptic Media. It wasn’t even too hard to get Jerry to bend down and bounce back up for that first shot!

Project Brief

Way back in 1996 Panoptic Media’s president Jim Prues was invited to videotape a three day gathering of some of the world’s most enlightened and passionate young environmentalists. It took place at a Tibetan Monastery in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California.

The courage and wisdom of these young people is truly inspiring, even after all these years. Jim captured their spirit and vision for a new way forward. Many of these leaders can still be found doing the work to save our planet from global warming and environmental destruction.

The program first aired on Earth Day, 1997 on MTV Global Networks.

Project Brief

Hamilton Caster has been a fixture in the Hamilton, Ohio community for over 100 years. They simply build casters – standard sizes, custom casters, whatever the industry demands. But when they needed  to create educational videos, they chose Panoptic Media.

This series included four videos on everything you need to know about casters, seven videos that show the various application areas the casters are made for, a website video and one on their Maxi-Duty Series of casters.

The folks at Hamilton Caster were thrilled with the result, again showing that the creativity and passion of Panoptic Media is a valuable asset in producing video projects.

When Amberley Village wanted to highlight what a unique community it is, and encourage potential residents to check the village out,  they engaged with Panoptic Media to tell their story.  Instead of starting with a script, we elected to get interviews from key administration officials and weaving them together into a coherent story. That, combined with nice transitions and music, made for an engaging presentation.

The folks in Amberley Village administration are thrilled with it, as are the residents who’ve seen it. We love our work.

Western and Southern Financial Group was looking for a short video that would inspire and motivate their sales force for an upcoming 3 day meeting with thousands of attendees. To answer that challenge, we created this engaging and almost haunting animation using powerful symbols and text elements to accomplish their mission.

Through the process of compositing [using multiple layers to create a visual scene], we were able to generate the emotions that lead to motivation and success.

Project Brief

Rytec Corporation out of Milwaukee has been a long time client of Panoptic Media. When they wanted to spice up their home page, they asked us about creating a short, high-energy piece that would especially draw the eyes of new visitors to their site. By leaning on a bit of ‘eye candy’, we were able to offer their first time prospects a sense of the kind of company Rytec is, but without a bunch of narration or text or something that says ‘we’re great.’

This style and these elements create a high-tech look, implying a high-tech company – which Rytec certainly is. We used existing video footage and other assets like animations we’d previously produced, so this was not nearly expensive to produce as it looks!

Project Brief

Hamilton County reached out to Panoptic Media to discuss how to increase awareness of the many functions that they perform and the variety of positions available to county workers. We came up with the idea of “Associate Spotlight” videos that would offer recognition of the variety of services and and positions that existing within the county. They felt that ‘Employee’ was a better choice than ‘Associate’, which gave us our series title.

This particular video features Dave Hoover, a Level 3 Technician that maintains storm sewers and fire hydrants. As he mentions, every day is different and he would never imagined fire hydrants to be such a target for motorists!

Project Brief

When U.S. Bank was rolling out their “What’s Possible” campaign earlier this year, they chose Cincinnati and Denver to be their first local roll-outs. This meant hiring crew and editorial services in both cities, and happily their agency chose Panoptic Media to be their video production and editing resource in Cincinnati.

It was comprised of one frenetic day of shooting in several locations that were pre-selected. U.S. Bank representatives presented regular folks with a check to fund whatever they liked. They were obviously well received.

We then started the edit that very evening, and worked the next day to polish and finish the piece. As it turns out, they decided on this 30 second version as their strongest message. The agency folks and U.S. Bank were thrilled with the results, meaning we were too!
